WEEKLY MEAL PLAN SALMON SALAD/FLAX SEED/VEGGIES

WEEKLY MEAL PLAN SALMON SALAD/FLAX SEED/VEGGIES

UUUMMM….  HELLO … we already prepared all of these ingredients.. all we have to do is create whatever dish we want with the “goods”.  I choose a super… and I mean super packed salad with the most delicious grilled salmon we prepared.  Now growing up on the water in Florida.. I use to never eat left over seafood…period.  Now.. Salmon and shrimp…. are just really tasty to me as a leftover.  Remember this is only because… if you purchase “good/fresh/fresh frozen seafood, then it is good.  If fish smells “fishy” I will not buy it.  There is a reason is starts to have a smell and that is not going in my belly.  That is all I am saying.  Know where your food sources come from and know the reps at your local markets. AMEN!

So.. I packed these bowls with a TON of nutrients. Protein being the first… so important.  Then veggies, like cauliflower, red bell pepper, red onion, broccoli, cucumbers, flax seed, white rice (for some), spaghetti squash, roasted sweet potato, grilled pineapple,… you name it:). Remember the goal here is whatever produce, meat you prepare at the beginning of your meal prep week (mid week, end of week) USE THEM!  This is why I prepare most items a la carte….. I have allergies, one of my kids has some food allergies… so I prepare alot a la carte so throughout the week with the basic ingredients I throw on the grill/bake/crockpot, I encourage all of my family to create a meal.  So if I am feeling like I do not want to assemble a meal… I will ask one of my kids or husband “I don’t know.. what do you want?”  Well guess what… we can do that because even though I may be brain dead one evening or just spent on any given day…. we had a plan, so we have good healthy food ready to throw together a stir fry, spaghetti, pizza, nachos, power bowl, taco bowl, veggie bowl, sandwich.  Do you see what I am talking about.  DON’T FAIL TO PLAN, BECAUSE YOU WILL PLAN TO FAIL.  Even if this means you planned take out for the week, salads from the grocery store, rotisserie chicken, etc.  JUST PLAN.  Take the stress out of dinner, enjoy your meal and the ones eating the meal with you!  We are never guaranteed tomorrow, so enjoy and be in the present.  Take the stress out of the equation.
